A Note from the Dean
December 2023
As the calendar year draws to a close, many of us enter into a period of reflection. At the Law School, final exams provide students a way to showcase what they have learned and professors gain insights into students’ professional growth. In every department, we take the time to assess programs, activities, and processes to plan for the new year. You will learn about our busy 2023 in the newest edition of “Mercer Lawyer,” which will be arriving in your mailboxes soon.
As you seek to wrap up projects and tasks before the end of the calendar year, I hope you will find time to reflect upon your accomplishments. Our celebration of 150 years of Mercer Law in October reminded us that we have achieved a lot as a community. The celebration also encouraged us to think about the years ahead. Everyone in the Mercer Law Community is invited to participate in the future of Mercer Law by giving to our dedicated Law School campaign 150 for All. This campaign will ensure that we continue to provide access for qualified, talented students, ensure success for all with meaningful learning opportunities, and develop facilities for all to collaborate.
As our celebrations continue in 2024, I hope you will join us in congratulating three honored Mercer Lawyers at the March 2 Alumni Dinner in Atlanta. More information about these worthy recipients and information about the Alumni Dinner can be found on our website.
Have a wonderful holiday season and a joyous new year!
Best wishes,
