Dean's Message

Cathy CoxDear Mercer Law School Alumni and Friends:

This year marks our 145th anniversary of a proud tradition of producing lawyers who are prepared to practice and committed to serve their communities. As I begin my tenure as Dean, I am eager to hear your ideas and harness your enthusiasm for the school as we work to chart a course for its future. We have a truly incredible body of students, faculty, and staff, all working passionately to make Mercer Law the best law school it can be, but your support and leadership provides us with the foundation to build on this excellence.

Mercer Law School has a proud legacy of innovation, excellence and service.  Our faculty and staff are developing curriculum, pedagogy and research that moves the profession forward while staying true to our historical identity as a place that values personal interaction, skills training, and ethics and professionalism.

The following webpages describe the Law School's campaign, Advancing the Legacy, and the ways in which you can participate in it. Meeting these goals will strengthen the Law School and ensure that future generations of graduates will have the same access to the quality legal education that we had during our years here.

I invite you to take a moment to read about the campaign, to think about how your Mercer Law experiences have enhanced your life and to consider the role you can play in making those experiences possible for others. Your generosity, engagement and leadership will help ensure a bright future for Mercer Law School.

Please join me in Advancing the Legacy.
