Class Giving Challenge

Class Giving Challenge GoalMany alumni were able to attend Mercer Law because someone cared enough to provide them with financial assistance. The Class Challenge is a way for alumni to pay it forward and engage in a little friendly competition!

During this challenge, we are asking alumni from across the generations to rally together to help deserving students attend their alma mater. By making this commitment, we can promote unity and spirit within each class while helping current and future students benefit from the same outstanding legal education you received at Mercer Law.

Our Goal

To increase support for student scholarships and to increase the number of alumni giving to Mercer Law. The classes of 2003 to 2017 are encouraged to raise a minimum of $1,000 per class, and the classes 2002 and older are encouraged to raise a minimum of $2,500.
The overall goal is to raise $125,000 during the campaign. As of December 1, we've raised $51,510 towards the goal.

What Counts?
All gifts to the Law School Annual Fund or to any Law School scholarship fund made between July 1, 2017 and April 4, 2018. Gifts must be received by 11:59 p.m. on April 4, 2018 to count towards the challenge.

How does my class win the Class Challenge?
There are two ways to win – largest amount raised by a class and the largest percentage of classmates participating. Winning classes must meet the minimum amounts of either $1,000 or $2,500 depending on class year.

Winners will be invited to a special dinner with Dean Cox around the time of Mercer Law Founders Day in early Fall 2018. We will also periodically draw names for door prizes. At the end of the challenge, all contributing alumni will be eligible to win a bobble head doll of their favorite professor.

Want to help?
We need volunteers from each class to contact classmates. If you would like to volunteer to serve as a class coordinator for your class, please contact Leslie Cadle, Director of Development, at (478)301-2232 or cadle_l@law.mercer.edu.
