Nathan Lee, ’83, appointed Circuit Court Judge

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell announced the appointment of Nathan Lee, ‘83, to Virginia’s Sixth Circuit Court Bench on Sep. 6, 2012. According to Article VI, Section 7 of the Constitution of Virginia, Lee will "serve until thirty days after the commencement of the next session of the General Assembly." Continued service on the Circuit Court will require election by the General Assembly.

"I am pleased to appoint Nathan Lee to the Circuit Court bench." Governor McDonnell said. "Nathan has had a long legal career handling a broad array of both civil and criminal cases. He has been active in his community and with the Bar. This experience, as well as his experience as a substitute judge, make him well-suited for the Circuit Court bench."

Lee, a native of Hopewell, Va., has practiced law in Virginia for 29 years. He started his legal career with a small firm and has run a private practice for the last 18 years. He has served as a substitute judge for the last 20 months.
