Mercer Alumnus John Mills Publishes Fifth Novel

Mercer Alumnus John Mills published his fifth novel, "The Trophy Wife Divorce," in July 2011. Mills graduated with a BBA degree from Mercer in 1986 and a JD degree in 1989.

Mary Jane Saunders named General Counsel for The Beer Institute

Mercer University School of Law alumna, Mary Jane Saunders, is the The Beer Institute’s new general counsel.

Mercer Alumnus, Amy Landers May, Named South Carolina Bar Young Lawyer of the Year

Amy Landers May, a 2001 graduate of Mercer Law School and a shareholder of Rogers Townsend & Thomas, PC, has been named the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyer of the Year. 

The award is given annually to the attorney - under the age of 36 or with less than five years of practice - who best exemplifies excellence in the legal profession and in public service.

Law School Hosts Georgia Legal History Foundation Symposium

On Friday, February 8, 2011 the Georgia Legal History Foundation sponsored an all-day seminar on a series of especially interesting events and personalities in the history of the Georgia legal system. The seminar was held in the Courtroom of the Mercer Law School and the Law School was one of the co-sponsors of the event. Two of the Law School’s fine young alumni, Stuart Walker and Griffin Bell III, organized the program.

Mercer Law Alumnus Johann "Chip" Manning Appointed Director of Babson Center for Global Commerce

Mercer Law School alumnus Johann “Chip” Manning has been appointed director of the Babson Center for Global Commerce at the University of the South, effective April 1.  Manning is currently a senior vice president and general counsel at the University.
