Student Life
Student life at the Mercer School of Law provides
a good illustration of our overall attitude and environment. Our
students are serious, but not too rigid. They are competitive, but
not cutthroat. They are focused, but not limited in their co-curricular
activities. And while they are all here to gain a world-class legal
education and a degree that commands respect, they also like to
have fun.
Student Organizations
You can choose from more than two dozen student
groups and organizations—ranging from the Black Law Students
Association, to the Christian Legal Society, to the International
Law Society, to the Jewish Legal Society, and many more.
Law Publications
We offer several law publications
administered largely by students, including the Mercer Law Review,
one of Georgia’s best and most cited legal publications.
Living in Macon
As one of the South’s most historic and culturally rich communities, Macon will provide you with
ideal access to music, art, culture, recreation, outdoor activities,
and professional resources.
Recreational Sports & Wellness
Recreational Sports and Wellness is located in the University Center and is comprised of five major program areas. Aquatics, Fitness/Wellness, Intramural Sports, Outdoor Adventures, and Sport Clubs give law students the opportunity to participate in a variety of interests and activities.
Moot Court
We have earned a reputation as having one of the finest moot
court programs in the country, exemplified by our impressive
results over the past several years.
