Jason Blanchard, '07, was elected President of the Young Professionals of Augusta for 2015.

Megan E. Boyd, '08, will be joining the Georgia State Law faculty as a full-time professor in the Fall of 2015.

Ivy Cadle, '07, was elected as one of 14 new shareholders across Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC. Additionally, he will assume the role of New Litigator Advisor for the Georgia offices.

Leslie Cadle, '07, was appointed to serve as the Macon Bar Association's representative on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Legal Services Program.

Gina Ginn Greenwood, '01, was elected as one of 14 new shareholders across Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC.

Jonathan W. Hedgepeth, '91, has been selected for Georgia's Super Lawyers list for 2015 by Atlanta magazine.

Dr. Jay A. Sekulow, '80, will be the keynote speaker at Regent University's Commencement Ceremony on May 9.

Robert W. Smith, Jr., '98, joined the Prosecuting Attorneys' council of GA as a State Resource Prosecutor specializing in RICO and Appeals.

Richard S. Bergholtz, '84, was appointed to a one-year term on the Mount Dora (Florida) Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

The recently formed Georgia Bankruptcy American Inn of Court has been named for the Honorable W. Homer Drake Jr., '56. The Homer W. Drake, Jr. Georgia Bankruptcy American Inn of Court will be a bankruptcy specialty inn.  Membership will include bankruptcy and insolvency practitioners, judges, law professors and law students from throughout the state.

Linda Finley, '81, was elected to the Board of Directors of Baker Donelson's Atlanta office.

Kristin S. Gray, '06, was selected as a Rising Star in the area of Employment and Labor Law by South Carolina Super Lawyers Magazine.She also announced the birth of her daughter, Lenora, on October 30, 2013.

Tommy Malone, '66, received a $16.5 million verdict for his client, Albert Dallas, '67. Read more here.

William D. Nesmith, III, '97, became the Deputy General Counsel for the State Bar of Georgia in October 2014.

Shannon M. Sheppard, '04, was appointed Managing Shareholder of Smolker, Bartlett Loeb Hinds & Sheppard, PA of Tampa, Florida.

Michael Bender, '04, was appointed to the Board of Directors at Gas Natural Inc.

Brandon C. Jones, '05, welcomed a son, Wes, on November 22, 2014.

Darcy L. Jones, '05, was promoted to partner at Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman LLP.

The Honorable Randall A. Meincke, '75, was appointed an Associate Juvenile Court Judge in Forsyth County on August 1, 2014.

John G. Breakfield, '01, was appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal to the Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission.

Ryan W. English, '13, joined the law firm of Walker, Hulbert, Gray, & Moore in Perry, where he will handle domestic and family law as well as criminal defense and general litigation.
