Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to law students in the form of scholarships, loans, and work-study. Mercer Law School has many merit scholarships available to eligible applicants. In addition, many students borrow money to finance their legal education.

Applying for Financial Aid

To assist in determining a student's financial need, a standard need analysis system is employed using confidential data submitted by the student. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the need analysis system used by Mercer University. Students should complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1st for consideration in the following academic year.

The federal government's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) may be completed on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov or by mailing a paper copy to the Processing Center. This form is used to calculate your expected family contribution (EFC) to your education. The Financial Aid Office will determine your financial need based on your "cost of attendance" (tuition and living allowance) and your expected family contribution. Please contact the Financial Aid Office at 478-301-2064 if you have questions.

In addition to the FAFSA, to be eligible for financial aid you must complete the Mercer Application for Financial Aid and submit it to the Financial Aid Office.  You may (1) complete and submit the application on-line by clicking here, (2) print a blank application by clicking here, or (3) you may request a printed copy of the application from the Financial Aid Office.
