Laptop Program
The Law School provides a laptop computer for every
incoming first-year law student. When you graduate, the Law School
will transfer ownership of the computer to you. This is an excellent
opportunity that allows all of our incoming students to have a new
and updated laptop at the beginning of their law school careers.
If you already have a laptop, a new one will still be provided for
you as you begin your first year of law school.
The Law School implemented this program to better
serve our students' technical support needs. With standardized hardware
and software configurations, the technology staff is able to quickly
diagnose and solve technical support problems, provide customized
technology training for our students, and ensure that students wishing
to take exams on computer have the ability to do so. Additionally,
by using standardized software and hardware, our technology staff
is able to better control potential damage caused by hackers and
virus attacks. We also provide our students with an identical "loaner"
laptop when a laptop needs repair, ensuring that our students will
always have a laptop available.
