Centers and Programs
A large part of our esteemed reputation in the
realm of law and legal studies has come as a result of the work
done through our law school centers and special programs. These
centers and programs distinguish the Mercer School of Law, provide
an exceptional academic and professional resource to students, and
deliver important services to the legal community as well as to
Macon.
Center for Legal Ethics and Professionalism
Mercer’s Center for Legal
Ethics and Professionalism seeks to engage members of the bench
and bar, students, faculty, and the surrounding community with outreach
educational activities and services designed around improving professionalism
in students, lawyers, and judges.
National Criminal Defense College (NCDC)
The National Criminal Defense
College, a not-for-profit organization, was formed in 1985 and
works in coordination with the Mercer School of Law. The NCDC presents
seminars and conducts the Summer Trial Practice Institute at the
Walter F. George School of Law.
Joint Programs in Law and Business at Mercer
Mercer University is pleased to announce the options of a joint J.D./M.B.A. program or the option for
law students to obtain a certificate in business from the Stetson School of Business and Economics

the past, this new offering can be completed in three years, fulfilling the degree requirements of
both professionally accredited programs. For more information about these programs, including course
